The Royal Jordanian Gliding Club was established in 1986 by Royal Decree in order to meet the international advancement of aviation and offer the Jordanian people the soaring experience. Since its inauguration, the RJGC has enjoyed the patronage of His Excellency Prince Faisal Ibn Al Hussein and the support of His Majesty King Hussein and many organizations and individuals.

Positioned at the Amman Airport in Marka, the club offers a comfortable atmosphere enriched by the technical experience, aviation instructors and dedicated individuals. The slow pace of the airport supported by the moderate climate of Jordan offers both the experienced and trainee pilots the perfect flying experience. So much so that the RJGC has attracted many Arab and foreign visitors to fly the skies of Amman. Special attention is given to the youth learning and practicing the principles of aviation.

In addition to flying at the Amman Airport, the club sets up sites in Wadi Rum, Aqaba and other beautiful areas in Jordan. The Club House at the airport has become the meeting place of members who bring their family and friends to enjoy a hot or cold drink and light food. In order to achieve maximum comfort. The club also offers satellite television and a selection of social programs to keep pilots and their families entertained while waiting for their flights.
